After discovering a love for music at a young age, Ricky has now been playing, performing and writing songs for over two decades.
As a young performer Ricky's dedication and fast developing skills were acknowledged by his inclusion in various programs including 'YouthRock', 'The Australian Children's Music Foundation', 'The Southern Schools Performing Ensemble', 'Southern Stars', 'Schools Spectacular', and at the age of 16 he was in the top 100 contestants of 'Australian Idol'.
As well as providing many amazing performance opportunities, being included in these programs led to an extended period of training and mentorship with some of Australia's finest music educators and performers, and culminated with graduating from the 'Talent Development Project' when he was 18.
Ricky then began releasing music commercially, collaborating with many different bands and artists and performing at various festivals and venues including The Deni Ute Muster, The Royal Easter Show, the Opera House and as a supporting artist at The Sydney Entertainment Centre and Qudos Bank Arena at the concerts of Keith Urban, Matchbox 20, Billy Idol, James Taylor, Rod Stewart, Bob Dylan, Ronan Keating, Jackson Browne, Jo Cocker, P!NK, Robbie Williams and Katy Perry.
In 2018 he began recording his first full length album, coproducing the project with ARIA award winning producer Pete Holz. The self titled debut was released digitally in 2019 through Bloomfield's own label, Emporium Records.
Ricky is currently a member of the world music songwriting collaborative - One Gener8ion.
